Fear and Loathing in Washington, D.C.

Greetings from balmy (considering the temperature) Woodbridge, Virginia, home for the next three days to a trio of entrepreneurs of entertainment and excitement known collectively as CCB (Chris Byrne, Chris Gordon, and Brian Pelletier).

On a chilly and nail-bitingly cold Southern Maine morning, these three amigos blazed a trail through New England, the tri-state area, Delaware, and D.C. The trip itself was uneventful, save for a couple of sassy exchanges with some particularly ornery Delaware toll booth workers (seriously, President-Elect Obama's first order of business should be to put a minimum 50 miles between toll booths south of Massachusetts. Maine/NH/Mass? $4>. Delaware/Maryland? $17.85. And much to our "embarassment," we quickly discovered the lawlessness of leaving our windshield wipers on while handing over our hard-earned nickels and dimes).

Upon our entrance into The Great State of Maryland (birthplace of one Christopher Adam Gordon), we realized the effect the New Jersey air quality had upon us, as silliness ensued. But upon reaching the home of Jenny and Miguel Medrano, friends to Chris B. and Brian, and new friends to Chris G. As we unwind from a day of toll booths and a sultry female voice emanating from the GPS, we are eagerly anticipating what Sunday will bring. Brian will be talking with the Sanford High School Marching Band, and then it's onto the Lincoln Memorial to take in a concert consisting of - among others - Bruce Springsteen, Beyonce, U2, and John Legend. If only Wham! would reunite for one final showing of peace and harmony...

PIC OF THE DAY
The electricity in the New Jersey air is almost as powerful as the other smells.
